June 20, 2015 – Norton University brought NU alumnus together with current students who are studying in year 1-4 to share experiences and guidance on succeeding in academic performance, finding the right career, and landing that first job out of school.
Prof. Chan Sokkhieng, rector of Norton University, along with dean and college coordinators attended the event and valued this important gathering as new paradigm for exchange learning particularly for current students to touch on the real stories of success from the alumnus.
Alumnus and current students exchange seminar was conducted as of the following proceeding:
Lecturer You Chamnan presented about “Academic Program of Economic Department” by reflecting key decisions and opportunities towards future careers in economic sector.
Mr. Tuy Sovannara, Senior Trade Finance Specialist of the ACLEDA Bank Plc., shared his experiences since he was a student and his career trends. He gave some hints to participating students on how to study successful and how to get a good job.
Mr. Lor Tithchansopheak, Chief Project Officer of CPO Phnom Penh, also shared similar stories as the previous speaker. His view to the quality education provided by Norton University was inspiring the students tremendously.
To close the seminar, Rector Chan Sokkhieng gave a remark by emphasizing that “the connection offered the chance to really make a huge impact on a young person at such an important time in their life, and being struggle and hard work was a way of making money”
The seminar went so successful. As of this fruitful result, the Economic Department plans to expand it by attracting more alumnus and students to participate in coming months.
