The Master in English and Education is designed to produce graduates who can meet the demands and future challenges in the dynamic field of English language and Education. This program will engage students in the process of critical thinking as they do their course work and will likewise give them a comprehensive knowledge of the language and its relevance in today's education and the various fields such as business, education, history, mass media, and information technology in response to global communication with English as the medium.
Students who have enough knowledge of English can concentrate more on meaning (comprehension) rather than form (grammar).
Therefore, students who embark on the course will acquire in the various skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing to enable them to fully and actively contribute to educational activities outside and inside the classroom using the English language.
Student needs to complete 54 credits to be considered for the award of the degree. This can be obtained on two tracks:
The GPA requirement in all courses must be met in both tracks.
This program is made available on weekends only and follows the given schedule:
Saturday: 2:00-5:00 p.m.; and 5:15-8:15 p.m.
Sunday: 8:00-11:00 a.m.; and 12:00-3:00 p.m.
